Just so blessed I didnt have to pay full price, I would have been real mad. Theres much more I am leaving out, but if I can sway someone from a bad vacation all this typing will be worth it. Left more stressed out than when I got there and I had just come off my first week at a highly demanding new job. Its not nearly as crowded but the water park is only about half the size. My advice is if you live in Michigan save yourself some money and stress without all the crowd and go to Zehnders splash village. ![]() I am sure this trip would have been fun if I only had one kid, but I dont. I say if you have more than one small child with you and you are easily annoyed stay away at all costs. Water park is impressive, water staff is actually competant. Most of the adults let their children run wild while they are off drinking. So many kids in the halls because of an interactive game that is played throughout the hotel, which isnt that bad unless you have a stroller and a small child walking with you. Breakfast buffet was horrible, small and cramped like most of the hotel, the line is so slow that your food is cold by the time you get to your seat. I had to ask her if she needed help, thats where I discovered she wanted our drink order. One of the waitresses came up to ourtable and just stood there silent, maybe she was used to mind readers. The staff was outragously rude, more than one occasion they would help someone in line who was behind us. The room wasnt so bad pretty nice, bathroom was a little small, but acceptable. Finally after waiting a few turns of the elevator doors opening and seeing it packed to the brim, we got to our room. We had a stroller with us and it was a nightmare. First off after we checked in the lobby was so full my wife and I got seperated until we hit the back of th elobby where the two slowest and possibly smallest elevators are located. So the next time i stay here it will be with my kids.įirst off, I am review this as someone with 2 small kids and 1 older child. I would recommend this place for the water park and for children. The fun level for children is a 10 while for adults its a 6 during the day and a 0 at night. The rooms were very clean and easy to settle in besides the early morning noise and pillows. The water park was a blast when it was open. I think the hotel should be more aware of its lack of adult entertainment.Īll in all this hotel was average to me. We would return to the hotel after a day of being out and come back to nothing to do when we really wanted to swim but we couldnt. If not the entire water park why not at least the outdoor pool. The complaint i have is why does the water park shut down at 9pm? why is the water park not left open for adults only after 9pm. The water park is really fun and the outdoor pool although small served its purpose. THEY SUCKED! The other thing that i found very awkward was that they have all these things for children to do yet they do hardly anything for the adults. There were 8 pillows in all in the room and every last one of them was the same. They feel like a sack someone filled with cotton balls and called a pillow. First of all the pillows are the worst pillows ive ever slept on. The biggest complaints i have about the hotel are as following. Im a light sleeper and the slightest noises wake me up so i might be a little biased but these were not slight noises. You can hear people in the hallway talking as if their in your room standing over your bed. I could hear all the footsteps of the child running around in the room above us at 6am or earlier. I reuse my towel at home why not here!Ĭons: The hotel is not very well insulated for noise. For example they have a recycling bin in the room along with a garbage can, the wall mounted air unit will automatically shut down if you leave the sliding door to your balcony open saving electricity, and they also ask you to participate (Not required) in a reuse your towel program where if you keep your towel hung up they wont take it but if you throw it on the floor they will replace your towels. They have ways to go green for the people who like to conserve. It had a mini fridge which made it really nice to keep drinks and food in the room. We had the breakfast buffet and it was one of the better ones Ive eaten at. The slides are not childish and will make any adult have fun. They have a lot to do for children with the arcade, Magic Quest, and the water park. Pros: This place is a lot of fun for kids. ![]() The place is nice and clean but there were a few issues. I stayed at the one in Traverse City, MI. ![]() The Great Wolf Lodge is a good place to stay for fun.
